Health Awareness and 30 Hubs
Joining the March health and wellness month at HubPages and contest, my goal was to make a hub on every subject presented and to go for the 30 Hubs in 30 day challenge. Winning the daily contest would have been a plus, though not expected.
Prior to starting this, I had been a member on Hubpages for 9 months. Yet felt like a newbie. I missed out on the Hubnuggets when I first joined.
Just a month before starting this contest and challenge, I had 94 followers and 13 hubs. As of publishing this hub, I have 249 followers and 43 hubs.
I still don’t get the number system on HubPages. I have seen Hubbers with short Hubs and high scores. (Not to say there are plenty of long Hubs with high scores.) I have seen Hubbers with few followers and Hubs with overall high hubscores. (Again the opposite applies too.)
I do realize that content, participation and keywords do play a part in this. Working on the right keywords is something I need to work on. My highest hubscore reached the low 90s, but not sure if I will see that again. Low 80s seem to be the place for me.
I am not a health professional. I am a researcher and have researched health issues for years. Seeing the March health contest here on HubPages, I knew this was something that I could do with my 30 day challenge. This hub is number 30 and a great way to include all the health hubs for this challenge.

This was a great hub. I agree with some of your early comments about hub scores/numbers, and your honesty about your own numbers. One of mine fluctuates up to 94 but drops back again. Like you, more work on keywords. Some days, I just edit for that and usually see results.

Sandy, you are funny, Insanity???(referring to the caption on your picture of the 30 day challenge). LOL.
During the 30 day challenge, I published some Hubs in the areas I'm interested in, but not for every topic nor on everyday. I knew I probably couldn't deal with it. LOL. However, I'm glad they had the challenge. It pushed me to publish more and it gave me lots of ideas on what to write about.
I'm with you about the whole ratings thing. I've pretty much decided not to worry about trying to figure it out.
I think you did an excellent job on your Hubs. You deserve a break. Take care.
