Lenovo IdeaCentre B520 Series Desktop Comparison

I am constantly comparing computers, both laptop and desktop PC. Both of my computers are past their prime in years, it is only a matter of time my computers will have to be put to rest, and replacements are in the near future.

Comparing the right computer for your needs depends on what is your main purpose for its use. Will you be shopping online, writing, designing and need powerful graphics? Is memory and speed the top issue when finding the right computer or is it a combination of everything?

One thing to keep in mind is that it is better to buy a more powerful machine than you think you need. I have made this mistake of listening to the salesperson, that I would never need that much memory or graphics. A least expensive computer with a lower quality video card, ram and so were I that I would ever need.

That was wrong…wrong…wrong! Software upgrades require more memory to run, photo software like Photoshop require a large chunk of memory. The newest Photoshop will not run the 3D tools if you do not have the right high powered video card. I know because I recently bought the lasted Photoshop that has 3D, yet I cannot use it.
