Basic Kickboxing Punches

Jab: A jab is a fast straight punch thrown at the face. Just like boxing, a kickboxer throws the jab and quickly withdraws it for defense.

Hook: The hook is moving upward with the leading hand and moves from one side to the other in an arching motion.

Cross: A cross is a hit thrown with the left hand rightwards or the right hand leftwards. This is a quick hit punch and along with the jab it is the most common punch.

Upper Cut: The upper cut is a punch which is thrown from either hand to the chin of the opponent.
