1. “The Red Bus”
The Turibus is your friend if you’re in Mexico City. Especially more if you are traveling alone.Mexico City is huge and it’s no joke that you can get lost amidst the foreign language that lingers around the area.

2. The Metro System
The Metro system in Mexico City is fantastically in depth and thorough. You will be able to get almost anywhere you can possibly want thanks to the number of Metro stations available. Be reminded though, that the map is your best friend when using the Metro system and you really should plan your stops so as not to waste time during your journey.
Not only is the Metro a good alternative choice for traveling around Mexico City, the stations in itself are very beautiful. You’ll be able to find beautiful mural paintings of some of the stations and the Pino Suarez station even has a genuine Aztec temple that was discovered during the construction of the tunnel. If you’re going the Metro route, do be sure to check out the beauty in the stations themselves.
3. Walk in a park
If you decided not to take the bus or the Metro system for some reason and prefer to just rely on your trusty legs, be sure to eventually find and relax in a park. The Bosque de Chapultepec is indeed impressive and popular, though there are many other parks around that are just equally impressive.
If you’re somewhere at the center of the city, try out the Alameda Central. A beautiful area filled with trees, fountains and people, the park also boasts a rich history. The place was the site of the former Aztec market. It was later on used as a place to execute heretics during the Spanish Inquisition. Over the weekends, the place will be swarmed with food and market stalls, and if you’re lucky, a mariachi band will be entertaining you as well.
Whether you decide to take the bus, train or even walk around the city, do take note that a visit to Mexico city can never be completed within a day. Do not rush yourself around. Take your time and soak in the beautiful surroundings and immerse yourself in the rich history that is Mexico.
